At launch, bookings and cancellations should be defined in writing in each listing. Guests will be able to request any booking (we do not nightly have a minimum at launch), but hosts will have the ability to reject any bookings that do not meet their minimum requirements (i.e. if the host has a 3 night minimum booking and receives a request for a one night stay, it is up to the host to decide whether they would like to accept or request the request.

Cancellation Policies: You will be able to set your own cancellation policies and manage refunds on your terms. Your cancellation policy will be shown in text in your listing (be sure to include this in your listing), with customers charged in full once the booking is accepted (however, payouts do not occur until after the guest’s stay, see Payout Procedures for more information).

Based on the host’s cancellation policy, the host will control whether any refunds are made. In the future, we will implement an automated cancellation / refund workflow that will allow hosts to set strict, moderate, loose, etc. cancellation policies that will automatically execute refunds based on when cancellations are made – this is high on our development roadmap.
